Totem Self Storage

I worked with Totem to get my things moved in. I had to do everything over the phone and online as I am currently out of state. I was able to have my friend be my point person and coordinate getting my items in the unit. Tiffany was extremely friendly and walked me through the process. Then the gentleman who was on site during the move in helped finish up the process. He was extremely thorough and made sure that I was fully informed as well as confirming that I was giving permission to my friend to store my stuff. They even set up a temporary gate code so that my ex could continue moving in my stuff at his own pace. My situation is unique and they treated it that way while being empathetic about my circumstances. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family.

The location is great for our purposes. It had the best rates. The customer service was excellent if not a little short-handed. The storage apace itself was well maintained inside. However, the surrounding area is a little rundown, and cluttered with parked moving trucks and a motor boat on a trailer, that’s lining the outer edges of the storage area. If you happen to have a unit across from one of these parked vehicles, then you will be blocking the through path for other cars while unloading. Also, I was looking for a 10’x10’, with an outdoor drive-up access, and expected a wide rollup door, and it was not specified to me that the unit available only had a 36” hinged door. I found out that detail after I had purchased the unit and visited the space. If this feature is important, ask questions before going through all the paperwork. One thing I will say, is that I had misplaced the keys to the lock, shortly after I had purchased it. They replaced the set for me immediately at no extra charge. And again, their rates were half of what the surrounding, competing storage facilities were. So any minor misgivings I have listed in this review was worth overlooking, in my opinion.

We like it at totum storage! Nice, easy going helpful staff, easy to access units, and a very affordable price that no where else could beat!! We are overall very pleased !! Oh! Plus they are okay with my big puppy running around there with me ;)

The woman who helped us out was very kind and had great care for her customer! Great unit, clean and everything looked up to date. There were even staff onsite sweeping the lot as well as a security patrol and cameras everywhere.
