Moving in NYC is already a complicated, stressful situation. So when I broke my lease and discovered my new apt's move-in date was delayed, I almost broke down at the idea of having to leave my things in storage for a few weeks. I've never used storage and I consider my things important. So I was expecting the added horror have my life locked in a container in the city to totally make matters worse and stress me even more. But I'm so happy I found this place because my entire process from reserving a space, to moving items in was a breeze. I first called the 800 number after thoroughly reading the website and determining that I needed at 10x10 unit, but I have a few more questions about the process, billing, access hours, etc. I got Robert who not only went through an itemized list of my belongings to determine I could actually go down a size to save, but also put me in touch with this specific location to finalize my rate, reservation date(s), lease agreement, etc. THANKS, ROBERT!! Bring in Antoine who is clearly a Heaven-sent angel because he called immediately to finalize and solidify deets. Antoine went above and beyond to confirm all details I went over with Robert, briefed me on details for obtaining the free lock he threw in, and then further discounted my reservation fee by a few dollars (which, in the middle of a move, who doesn't want to save every dollar they possibly can, right?) Antoine just also has the absolute best personality. It was a pleasure speaking with someone so naturally nice. THANKS, ANTOINE!!! The day of my move-in, I arrived at Extra Space ahead of the movers to see the location in person and make sure I'd know what I was doing and where I was going when the movers arrived. And that's where I met Yessenia who was so sweet, accommodating and very knowledgeable. THANKS, YESSENIA!!! The space itself is SO clean, well lit and super secure. As a storage novice, I'm so grateful to have found this location and I feel a lot better about the unforeseen need to be separated from the items that make up my world. Highly recommend.
